Notes:

Come with us on a magic carpet ride to the exotic Middle Eastern playground. A land of sultans and pashas, with harems of scantily clad women, smoking hookahs whilst reclining on cushions of silk.

These are the myths of the Middle East that dominated everything from theatre marquees to the stories and cartoons of men's magazines in the 1950's and 60's. A vision seen in countless films from Salome, Thief of Baghdad, Road To Morocco, Son of Ali Baba through to Harum Scarum. This was a land of glamorous wonder.

So put the truth to one side as we rub the magic lamp and conjure up images of idyllic nights by the oasis.
